Elizabeth (Betty) Liberton
passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020 after a very brief illness. She passed comfortably with family by her side.
Betty enjoyed a great life in West New York, New Jersey together with her husband Joe where they lived for 86 years and raised their three daughters.
Betty and Joe had a full and wonderful life together enjoying living in West New York, travelling, and spending time with their many family members and friends. Betty had special love for her family and most specifically for her Grandchildren (Matthew, Krystan, Elizabeth, Brandon, Ali, & Max) who she always followed closely as they grew and become adults and then parents. She had a lifelong passion for crocheting and her warmth will live on in the many blankets and sweaters that she created. She also spent many years and countless hours volunteering with the WNYFD Women’s Exempts and various other charities.
Upon Joe’s passing in 2013, Betty relocated to Massachusetts where she spent seven nice years as a vibrant part of the Bluebird Estates retirement community. From there, she was able to cultivate many new friendships and further watch her family grow, attend graduations, weddings and enjoy a new wave of “Great” grandchildren.
Betty is predeceased by the love of her life Joseph Liberton and by her cherished daughter Lois Jennings. Betty leaves her loving daughters and son-in-laws Cheryl and John Ungaro of Altoona, WI and Laura and Jay Chipouras of Longmeadow, Ma
She was a wonderful woman and will be missed by so many who knew her.
